I'm working on a pair of pajama pants right now. I figured it would be a nice beginner project, since I actually wear them once in a while, and even if I screw um up, it's just pajama pants.
I was up in Portland a few days ago, and had the chance to check out Fabric Depot, which is, the website tells me, the largest fabric store in the U.S.A.. It is, to quote Douglas Adams, "big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is." Well, anyway, I had a lot of fun poking around there, and then had lunch at Burgerville. THE END.
A few days later in Corvallis, the local Joann Fabric just reopened in a larger space. Had this happened before I had seen Fabric Depot, I would've been impressed by their selection. Now, it's barely worth mentioning.
